See Spot Run

The Humane Society’s Annual See Spot Run 5K and 1″K-9″ Fun Walk are held in early June at Earlewood Park. Participants get to run (or walk) through the historic Earlewood, Cottontown, and North Main Street neighborhoods, which offers shaded streets and cooler conditions. Upon crossing the finish line, participants are offered refreshments, includingdonated baked goods and sliced fruit.

Beyond the picturesque and challenging course, more than twenty vendors had booths set up near the finish line. Vendors offered “freebies” and provided information and discount coupons to those who were interested. Following the 5K, participants and their dogs were able to be a part of the 1″K-9″ Fun Walk, which took place around the NOMA Bark Park.

See Spot Run was designed to be a family and dog friendly event with a goal of raising funds to support the work of the Humane Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Over $15,000 has been raised yearly to support low-cost spay/neuter clinic and animal cruelty prevention programs.
